The Community Schemes Ombud Service is established in terms of the Community Scheme Ombud Service Act, 2011 (Act 9 of 2011) to regulate the conduct of parties within community schemes and to ensure their good governance.
To effectively provide its services, CSOS is required in terms of section 4 of Community Scheme Ombud Service Act, 2011 (Act 9 of 2011) to train and educate Conciliators, Adjudicators, employees of the CSOS, owners, occupiers, executive committees and other persons or entities who have rights and obligations in community scheme. The Community Schemes Ombud Service has commenced with training programmes for all parties with a vested interest in a community scheme.

The training focusses on key aspects of the CSOS Act and STSM Act but will also include:

  • Amended dispute resolution practice directive
  • The body corporate memory
  • Pets and parking
  • Is the body corporate responsible for your security?

The CSOS will also assist with registration queries on the day.
Kindly indicate if you are interested to receive such training and number of attendees. The training is offered free of charge by the CSOS.
