The Community Schemes Ombud Service Act (Act 9 of 2011) was promulgated on 11 June 2011 and provides for the establishment of the Community Schemes Ombud Service (“CSOS”) as a public entity. The CSOS has been classified as a Schedule 3A Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (Act No.1 of 1999) (PFMA).

This position reports to the Chief Ombud and the Board
Requirements
• Post Graduate Qualification / NQF Level 8.
• Masters Qualification / NQF Level 9 will be advantageous.
• 15 years total working experience in the legal/company secretariat and/or governance environment of which 5 years should have been as Company Secretary at senior management or executive level.
Key Performance Areas
• Provide strategic leadership to the Division.
• Manage CSOS Board Governance and Compliance.
• Provision of effective Secretarial Support.
• Ensure the availability of resources that facilitates service delivery in the Division.
• Ensure optimization of the Division.
